Houston Methodist's primary academic affliates are ranked Weill Cornell Medical College and New York-Presbyterian Hospital. They also have affliations with Texas A&M Health Science Center and the University of Houston.

ORTHOPAEDICS & SPORTS MEDICINE
Houston Methodist Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is one of Houston Methodist’s six centres of excellence – emphasizing medical care, research and academics. Our ongoing commitment to orthopaedic research, through close partnerships with numerous research institutions, is the foundation of our continuing leadership in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopaedic conditions.
TRANSPLANT
They are one of the most comprehensive transplant centres in the United States. Their kidney-pancreas program is one of the fastest growing in the nation, and they carry one of the few programs that offer islet and multi-organ transplants. The transplant centre also offers direct access to state-of-the-art resources at Houston Methodist Hospital, named by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation’s 20 hospitals and for the fifth year in a row as the First- Ranked hospital in Texas.
CANCER
Their cancer research program addresses challenges in the treatment of many cancers types, including aggressive and intractable types of brain, breast, and lung cancer.
CLINICAL TRANSLATION AND TRIALS
They monitor more than 700 clinical trials, with new ones being opened every month. Their goal is to make a clinical trial available to every patient who needs one.

IMAGING AND RADIOLOGY
They Partner researchers with clinicians to develop new translational imaging materials and technologies that produce the innovative visualization techniques responsible for improving patient diagnosis, therapy and outcomes.
