ELECTIVE ROTATIONS

NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS FOR CONDUCTING CLINICAL ROTATIONS THROUGH ALPHA MED OMEGA

A photo ID, such a passport or a driver’s license, Criminal background check, usually from your local police department Immunization records, PPD test result or chest X-ray, within the past 12 months, Malpractice Insurance, Resume/CV, Medical School Diploma (if not graduated already)

USMLE REVIEW COURSE

If any medical aspirant wants to be successful licensed Physician in USA, then it is mandatory to clear the USMLE goals. It is obligatory for any medical aspirants who want to hold the ECFMG certificate to accomplish USMLE Step1, USMLE Step2 CK, & the USMLE Step2 CS.

USMLE STEP 1 - THE EXAM

• Computer based, one day exam, multiple choice questions.
• An eight hours Exam, Seven blocks.
• Sixty minutes per block.
• 40 item per block.
• Total of 280 multiple choice questions.
• 45 minutes of break time and a 15- minute optional tutorial.
• It tests basic science component with clinical correlation.
• 192 is the minimum passing score.

USMLE STEP 2 CK - THE EXAM

• Computer based, one day exam, multiple choice questions.
• Nine hours Exam, Eight blocks
• Sixty minutes per block.
• Will not exceed 45 item per block.
• Total number of items will not exceed 355.
• 45 minutes of break time and a 15- minute optional tutorial.
• It tests medical knowledge, and understanding of clinical science.
• 209 is the minimum passing score.

USMLE STEP 2 CS - THE EXAM

• Computerized Patient Notes
• Live patient interaction.
• One day exam.
• Twelve standardized patients encounter.
• 25 minutes total per patient.
• It tests ability to:
• Gathering information (CIS).
• Perform physical examinations (ICE)
• Communicate their findings (SPE).
• Score reported as a Pass/Fail.

USMLE STEP 2 CS - THE EXAM

• Live Lectures provided by highly experienced faculty
• All Subjects based on the content from USMLE Bulletin
• Basic Sciences taught as individual subjects; Clinical information via organ-based manner
• Handouts and/or presentations containing the key aspects provided
• Q-Bank questions
• Peer Advising & One-on-one tutoring offered

USMLE STEP 2 CS - THE EXAM

• 3 week intensive workshops in various clinical techniques, radiology interpretations, Foley catheter, IV insertion, NG tube, airway management and hospital procedure and guidelines
• 5 weeks of supervised Patient Encounters during rotations in a number of different departments including: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, OB/Gyn, Paediatric and Surgery
